Postdoctoral Fellow in Visualization for Biology

The Visual Computing Group (VCG) in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University seeks motivated postdoctoral fellows, with a Ph.D. in computer science/engineering, bioinformatics, or a related field to work on varied research projects in large-scale image and data analysis in the area of connectomics.

Potential candidates should possess a strong background in the fields of image analysis, computer vision, bioinformatics or similar areas, with experience in programming and large-scale data analysis. In addition to working closely with scientists, industry partners, and graduate students on research projects, the candidate is expected to actively participate in writing grant proposals.

Candidates should have a strong publication history, demonstrated ability to create software in the service of research projects (particularly if publicly released), a good standing in the community, as well as good teamwork and communication skills.
